Manchester United are ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona, according to reports. It is claimed Barca would accept around £43.3million (€50m) for the France international. Juventus are also in a stronger position to sign Dembele than Liverpool.
United wanted to sign Dembele last summer as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
However, the 23-year-old rejected a loan move to Old Trafford after having a late change of heart.
Dembele has remained relatively injury-free this season other than missing three weeks of action in December.
But despite playing more regularly under Ronald Koeman, there are still doubts over his long-term future.

That is because Dembele’s contract at the Nou Camp expires in the summer of 2022.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato report Juventus’ interest in the player.
However, they also state United are still keen on a deal for the former Borussia Dortmund star.
Juve and United are named as leading the way for Dembele’s signature, ahead of Liverpool and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool have been linked with Dembele as a potential replacement for the likes of Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah, if they were to leave Anfield.
CalcioMercato says Dembele is valued at £43.3m by Barca despite having just over a year left on his contract.
Juve are said to be seriously interested in Dembele, though the asking price is too high.
A swap deal could be thrashed out, with Adrien Rabiot named as a potential makeweight in a deal.
But United would more than likely be able to afford Barca’s asking price outright, which could put them at an advantage.
Dembele joined Barca from Dortmund in the summer of 2017 for a fee which could rise to around £130m.
His time at the Nou Camp has been littered by injury problems.
He has scored 29 goals in 111 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants.
Speaking earlier this month, Barca boss Koeman insisted he wants Dembele to remain part of his squad beyond this season.
“I would like Dembele to stay, he is an important player for us,” Koeman said.
“Today, he has shown that with his game and the goal. The key is that he has physically improved and has been able to play a lot of games in a row.”
