Man Utd ace Mason Mount ‘frustrated’ as ‘feelings’ on Chelsea exit come to light
Manchester United star Mason Mount has been left frustrated by his disrupted start at Old Trafford, according to reports. However, it is claimed the midfielder doesn’t miss Chelsea and is determined to thrive in his new surroundings.
Mount left Chelsea in the summer, a club he had been at since the age of six. He was unable to reach an agreement on a new contract at Stamford Bridge and United came calling.
Erik ten Hag made the 24-year-old his first signing of the close season, committing to pay up to £60million. But it hasn’t gone how he or Mount would have wanted so far.
He suffered an injury after just two matches of the Premier League season. He was forced to miss over a month of action, not starting again until September 30.

Mount has been in and out of the United team since his return to fitness but has not been able to reach his best and most creative form. He has yet to score or register an assist in his eight Premier League outings.
The Athletic claims the stop-start nature of his season has left Mount frustrated. Five of his last six appearances have come as a substitute, with Ten Hag struggling to find the right balance in midfield in order to play the summer signing.
Mount took on the No 7 shirt at United, a historic jersey previously worn by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and George Best. The Athletic claims he was happy to take the number despite the weight it brings.
The report also says Mount is loving playing in front of big crowds and people close to the player say he is not missing Chelsea as much as they thought he would. He played 195 times for the Blues after coming through their academy but couldn’t come to terms on a new deal.

Earlier this month, Ten Hag claimed his expectations of Mount have not changed since he joined. However, he admitted his injury came at the worst time.
Ten Hag said: “No. Hasn’t changed at all. But he started the season, then he got injured, it’s the worst moment for a new player to get injured because it stops the reintegration process and that was definitely a setback for someone like him.
“And now he has to find his place back. He had some starts, also recently, last week against Newcastle, for instance. But there are always reasons and sometimes the injury, then other players coming in doing well, you have to wait for your time to play.”
