Man Utd ‘accept £190m loss’ as Ten Hag’s 4-part transfer plan goes up in flames
Andre Onana linked with Man Utd and Chelsea move
Manchester United are braced for a gut-wrenching £190million loss on signings this summer as Erik ten Hag desperately scrambles to raise funds. The Red Devils are listening to offers for 12 players, having already sold Zidane Iqbal to Utrecht for £850,000.
Ten Hag has plenty of deadwood to offload as he plots the second stage of his Old Trafford rebuild.
And it involves accepting a significant loss on nine first-team stars as he works to boost his £125million budget.
The Mail report United are prepared to make a slight loss on David de Gea (£17m), Phil Jones (£16m), Donny van de Beek (£15m), Anthony Martial (£11m), and Alex Telles (£5m).
But larger deficits include Harry Maguire (£40m), Fred (£30m), Eric Bailly (£28m), and Jadon Sancho (£28m).
The report claims United hope to recoup at least £50m in player sales this summer, but even that total would leave Ten Hag’s dream transfer plans in doubt.

It’s no secret that the Dutchman has identified Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as his priority target.
However, Daniel Levy’s reluctance to sell to a direct Premier League rival has made him stand firm on his £100m valuation, despite Kane’s contract expiring next year.
Andre Onana has also emerged as a top target to become United’s new No 1, with Inter Milan said to value the 27-year-old at £45m.
But United have been pushing hardest for Mason Mount, who would set the club back £65m if they eventually bow down to Chelsea’s demands.

Adrien Rabiot has also been targeted for a free transfer ahead of his contract expiry on June 1.
The Frenchman now has a decision to make between staying at Juventus and sealing a Premier League switch that he has previously described as a career goal.
Those four signings would demand at least £210m, meaning player sales are crucial if Ten Hag’s second summer is to be a success.
But United’s track record with selling stars won’t fill many with confidence, with the low fee received for Iqbal potentially a worrying indicator.
