A Manchester United youngster has announced he has left Old Trafford after making just one senior appearance for the club.
The academy talent was one of a number of stars expected to leave the club alongside injury-plagued defender Phil Jones at the end of the season.
The midfielder has struggled to thrust his way into Man United’s first-team since making his senior debut in a two-minute cameo during a 2019 Europa League defeat to Astana.
He was recognised by then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as one of the club’s rising talents and subsequently made the bench for another European game.
The Northern Irishman had done enough to catch the eye of ex-national team boss Ian Baraclough who compared the central midfielder to Barcelona’s legendary duo Andres Iniesta and Xavi.

Speaking in 202, Baraclough said: ‘Not to put too much pressure on his shoulders, but he’s our little Iniesta or Xavi.
‘[He’s] someone who can get on the ball and manipulate the ball and find positive passes.
Ethan Galbraith has been on-loan at League Two promotion hopefuls Salford City this season who are co-owned by United legends Gary Neville, Phil Nevile, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes, David Beckham and Ryan Giggs.
The 22-year-old announced he would be leaving Old Trafford imminently, posting a heartfelt statement on Instagram where he labelled the Premier League giants as a ‘magnificent club’.

‘After 6 years, my time has come to an end with this magnificent club at Manchester United.
‘I want to thank the club, coaching staff and players for helping me become a better player, a better person and for making me feel at home.
‘My earliest ambition as a boy was to become a professional footballer and I’m forever grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity and support to fulfil that dream.
‘It’s been a privilege and I feel very fortunate to have been able to represent the club.
