Man United Q&A LIVE: Has Erik ten Hag lost the dressing room? Will he drop Marcus Rashford against Chelsea? Chris Wheeler answers your questions

Marcus Rashford has received a lot of criticism following his performance on Saturday. Do you expect Erik ten Hag to back him tonight or is he in serious danger of being dropped?

CHRIS WHEELER: It’s never easy to predict team selection. For instance, I thought Antony had one of his best games for United in Istanbul last week and he was on the bench at Newcastle.

But, yes, I thought Rashford was so poor in every aspect at St James’ Park that he deserves to be dropped tonight. I would play Garnacho left and Antony right.

If Rashford was trying to give the worst impression possible, he couldn’t have done a better job at Newcastle. We were back to the dark days of two years ago when his performances and body language were dreadful.

He’s a senior player now earning in excess of £300,000-a-week and should start playing like one.

Man United banned some reporters from yesterday's press conference. What do you make of the current situation, is it a sign Erik ten Hag may have lost the dressing room and is starting to feel the pressure?

CHRIS WHEELER: I don’t think banning reporters is a sign Ten Hag has lost the dressing-room, but it is a sign that Utd are frustrated about the leaks.

Clearly it’s not a happy ship at the moment and when that happens at any club – particularly Man Utd – issues start to seep out into the public domain. We’ve seen it before at Utd with a number of managers and Ten Hag has issues with Sancho, Varane, Rashford and Martial, to name but a few.

Personally, I’m not a fan of banning the media and not just for the obvious reasons. It’s all a bit ‘industry’ – the kind of stuff the fans don’t really need to see, and it just makes Utd and Ten Hag look rattled. Fergie used to ban us all the time, but in a world before social media people never got to hear about it.
