Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United have ‘expressed interest in MLS starlet Jhon Duran, joining Liverpool in the race for the £10 million-rated forward’s signature’.
The 18-year-old picked up eight goals and five assists in 27 games last season, and is believed to have attracted interest from around Europe.
Duran’s club, Chicago Fire, are becoming something of a feeder club for the Premier League after goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina was sold to Chelsea.

According to reports in the Sun, United have made contact with the MLS Club about Duran, weeks after Liverpool made similar enquiries.
They also report that the forward’s ‘agent and family recently travelled to England’.
Chicago may be especially keen to cash in on their forward in the near future, after they have slumped to 12th in the MLS Eastern Conference.

The young forward could be a good option for United, who will be in need of young talent up front given Cristiano Ronaldo’s age and current dissatisfaction.
United drew 1-1 with Chelsea on Saturday night, but looked limited in the final third and relied on a late header from Casemiro to secure the point.
