Man tries to buy Preston shirt for £1 on eBay but doesn’t check name on the back
An unfortunate Preston fan was looking for a new football shirt on eBay, and was left with an unfortunate surprise when he thought he'd found a bargain.
Rory Cocker took to Twitter to explain: "Needed a cheap white top for 6-a-side, so went on eBay. Found an old North End jersey, £1.00 starting bid, in my size. So without checking all the pictures, I bid on it in excitement."
The Preston fan attached a snap to reveal a Preston home shirt from 2009/10 season – and all looked in order. However, after Rory placed his £1 bid on the shirt, he discovered the back of the shirt read: "Daddy, 29."

However, after being outbid, Rory then launched a Twitter poll with two options, either he "takes the L" or becomes "Preston Daddy".
Rory continued: "I should be feeling a sense of relief but I actually feel like I've been challenged now. Somebody else will be daddy instead of me. Not sure I can allow it!"
Hilariously, Rory then set up a GoFundMe, with a goal of £50, after his post went viral – so the internet could help him become "Preston's Daddy".
