Man City’s Raheem Sterling contract talks stall as hunt continues for Harry Kane
Manchester City's contract talks with Raheem Sterling have reportedly stalled as the Premier League champions continue to be linked with a move for Harry Kane.
Sterling's current deal at the Etihad runs for another two years though City want the England ace to commit the peak years of his career.
Pep Guardiola wants to strengthen his attacking options this summer following the departure of legendary striker Sergio Aguero.
Tottenham star Kane and Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish are both on the radar with the duo set to cost City around £200m.
And The Mirror report City's pursuit has coincided with talks over a new deal for Sterling failing to progress.
It's claimed there is no panic from City though Sterling may be waiting to see where he fits in before putting pen to paper.
Guardiola already likes to rotate his players, and more competition for places could see Sterling's minutes on the pitch deteriorate.
Sterling shone this summer for England at Euro 2020 as the Three Lions reached the final.
Kane also impressed, though the Tottenham star continues to be linked with a move away from north London.

Speaking on his future, Kane said earlier this summer: “I think it’s definitely a conversation to be had with the club. I want to be playing in the biggest games. The biggest moments.
“Like, this season I’m there watching the Champions League, watching the English teams in there doing amazing.
“They are the games that I want to be involved in. I want to be in them games.
“So for sure, it’s a moment in my career where I have to kind of reflect and see where I’m at and have a good, honest conversation with the chairman. I hope that we can have that conversation.
“I’m sure that he’ll want to set out the plan of where he sees it but ultimately it’s going to be down to me and how I feel and what’s going to be the best for me and my career in this moment in time."
