Man City’s Kyle Walker held three-year grudge against Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Kyle Walker has revealed how he held a grudge against England team-mate Dominic Calvert-Lewin for more than three years.
The Manchester City ace admits he struggled to forgive Calvert-Lewin for his role in getting him sent off on his home debut back in 2017.
Walker saw red for an alleged elbow on the Everton striker during a feisty 1-1 draw at the Etihad.
It was his second yellow card in just three minutes and sparked outrage at the Etihad between both benches.
Replays showed Walker, who had just joined City from Tottenham in a £50m deal, brushed Calvert-Lewin with his arm but the Toffees forward went down clutching his head.
Pundit Gary Neville claimed referee Bobby Madley had been conned into sending the defender off – and Raheem Sterling took to social media afterwards to slam the decision.
Walker's dismissal seemed harsh, with footage showing he appeared to be looking at the ball rather than Calvert-Lewin when he jumped to win it.
Walker admits he held it against Calvert-Lewin for a long time – and decided to bring up the incident when the pair were thrown together on England duty earlier this season.

When asked if he remembered his first red card for City, Walker said: "Yes I do, my first home game, against Everton.
"I thought it was very harsh. I had a word with Calvert-Lewin on an England trip, to be fair.
"It was still playing in my mind, but the decision was made and we got the draw, which was probably a good result in the end."
