Man City trolled for poster which fans say is ‘like something out of Ted Lasso’
Football fans have trolled Manchester City on Twitter for a poster 'straight out of Ted Lasso'.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted a poster, hung on the wall of City's physio room, that read "our goal" with a picture of the Champions League trophy. City have made no secret of their European dreams, having come so close to achieving them in 2021.
However, fans quickly drew comparisons to Ted Lasso, a fictional character who manages Richmond FC in the hit TV show of the same name. Lasso, who is portrayed as a clueless American, has a poster reading "believe" hung up in Richmond's changing room.

One fan tweeted: "No way have they copied Ted Lasso lol!"
"Awww their aim is to win their first so cute," a second added. While a third tweeted: "They have to have a poster to remind them!"

"How many years has that been up," a fourth joked. However, one City fan defended their club: "Ironic to see big club mentality like City have a dream of winning the CL meanwhile a certain team in Manchester still celebrating the Carabao. Lol."
City are looking to reach their second final, having stumbled at the final hurdle against Chelsea back in 2021.
Pep Guardiola's side had looked set to reach a second final in as many years last season, when they led Real Madrid 4-2 on goal difference going into stoppage time. However, an incredible turnaround saw City collapse and Real going on to claim another European triumph.
City must face their Real demons again in the semi-finals, where they will have a chance at redemption – and then a shot at their first Champions League triumph.
