The Manchester City dressing room is hoping that Portuguese megastar Cristiano Ronaldo will join the club after City missed out on Harry Kane, according to reports.
Pep Guardiola's side are reportedly in discussions with the 36-year-old over a potential move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
City have been in the market for a striker after the departure of Sergio Aguero, whose contract expired in June.
And despite spending most of the summer in pursuit of Tottenham's talisman, it looks like Ronaldo could be the man to end up in sky blue.
According to The Telegraph, the City dressing room is excited at the prospect.
A source at the Etihad has revealed the players are looking forward to the prospect, and it has been a topic of conversation between them.
The first-team believe that his role as an orthodox striker would help the team who are currently missing an out-and-out goalscorer.
The feeling inside the City dressing room is the addition of Ronaldo would allow more players space to work the ball.
And City players have been asking Joao Cancelo, who played at Juventus and internationally with Ronaldo, what he's like at training and off the pitch.

The 36-year-old joined the Old Lady in 2018, and he has gone onto claim two scudettos and a Coppa Italia title.
However, he has now informed Juventus that he wants to leave the club this summer.
The Portuguese star has one year left on his contract in Turin, and Juventus are hoping to get €30million for his services.

Guardiola is expected to offer Ronaldo a two-year deal, the same amount of time Guardiola intends to remain at City.
However, according to The Athletic, Guardiola is unsure of how he will use Ronaldo but would rather spend the season with him than without a striker.
