Maguire spotted on crutches in Old Trafford after Man Utd injury announcement
Harry Maguire has been spotted on crutches at Old Trafford after it was confirmed the Manchester United captain has suffered ankle ligament damage.
Maguire hobbled off towards the end of United's 3-1 win away at Aston Villa on Sunday after picking up the injury, which was the first time he has not completed a full 90 minutes since joining the club.
The England centre-back's problem has come at the worst time for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, whose side are currently taking on Leicester in the first of four Premier League outings in 12 days.
They also have a crucial Europa League final to come against Villarreal on May 26.
However, Maguire is unlikely to play any part in United's remaining Premier League fixtures after Solskjaer confirmed his captain has damaged ankle ligaments.
He is also facing a race against time to be fit for the Europa League final at the end of the month.
And if that update alone wasn't concerning enough for United fans, Maguire was also seen on crutches at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
Bt Sport cameras spotted the 28-year-old watching on in the stands during United's clash with Leicester, and the sight of the crutches doesn't bode well just over two weeks out from the showpiece against Villarreal.
Solskjaer told MUTV before the game: "He's obviously had the scans and the good news is there is no fracture.

"[There's] ligament damage but hopefully we will see him again this season. Hopefully, he'll be ready for the final."
England boss Gareth Southgate will also have one eye on Maguire's injury ahead of this summer's delayed European Championship, with their opening fixture coming against Croatia at Wembley on June 13.
The Three Lions are also due to play warm-up friendlies against Austria and Romania on June 2 and 6.
Maguire, who has earned 32 caps since making his international debut in 2017, will be expected to play a key role for England at Euro 2020 if he recovers in time.
