Lukaku’s agent dropped Inter transfer hint weeks before damning Tuchel comments
Romelu Lukaku's comments about wanting to return to Inter Milan should come as nothing of a surprise – because the forward's agent made similar claims earlier this month.
Lukaku, who returned to Chelsea for a club record £97.5million last summer, expressed his desire to one day return to the Serie A club in a bombshell interview with Italian media.
He also criticised Blues boss Thomas Tuchel and claimed he was "not happy" with his bit-part role under the German earlier this season.
But the Belgian's most interesting comments concerned his relationship with Inter, and specifically his desire to rejoin the Italian giants before the end of his career.
"I want to say a big apology to the Inter fans because I think the way I left should have been different," he revealed to Sky Sport Italia.
"I really hope in the depths of my heart to return to Inter, not at the end of my career, but at a still good level to hopefully win more."
The bombshell comments caused shockwaves among Chelsea fans, even though Lukaku's agent made similar claims earlier this month.
Speaking to Tuttosport, Federico Pastorello said: "One day we will see Lukaku back in Serie A, because he loves Italy. But now it's time for Chelsea to enjoy Romelu."

However, it seems as though Lukaku has not enjoyed his return to Chelsea all that much
In the interview that was recorded several weeks ago but only aired on Thursday, he added: "I'm not happy with the situation, this is normal. But I am a worker and I must not give up."
Chelsea fans on social media were not impressed with his comments.
One person said: "Cut our losses now. Because Lukaku hasn’t got what it takes to be Chelsea he is certainly not a Drogba. You don’t get hand outs and this club you’re either here to win or you can f*** off."

While someone else added: "We champions of Europe as a club we need to have some pride no Serie A striker can hold us to ransom. Lukaku can f*** off."
The former Manchester United man has struggled with injuries since his return to Stamford Bridge but has still found the back of the net seven times in 18 appearances.
