Lukaku ‘considering Chelsea return’ as Blues make ‘tempting’ third transfer bid
Romelu Lukaku is reportedly 'considering' a return to Chelsea as the Blues prepare to launch a third bid for the Inter Milan hitman.
The Blues are desperate for an elite striker this summer and have settled on former star Lukaku after admitting defeat in their pursuit of Erling Haaland.
The Belgian forward has been deadly since his arrival in Italy, netting a stunning 24 goals in just 36 Serie A games last year as Inter raced to their first Scudetto in 11 years.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is known to be a big fan of Lukaku and is determined to lure his man to London for a second spell at Stamford Bridge.
Now, Gianluca Di Marzio are reporting that the Inter star is 'pondering' a return to Chelsea, despite previous reports indicating that the Belgian was happy with life on and off the pitch in Italy.
The Blues have already had two proposals knocked back by the Italian outfit, with the latest offer being worth £85m plus outcast wing-back Marcos Alonso.

Inter are determined to hang on to their star striker, but reports suggest that an offer closer to £100m could tempt chairman Steven Zhang into a deal.
The Italian's need to reduce their wage bill this summer and have already lost former boss Antonio Conte just weeks after he led them to the Serie A title over concerns about Inter's budget.
And that could open the door for Chelsea, with boss Thomas Tuchel desperate for more firepower to build on May's Champions League triumph.
French striker Olivier Giroud has already departed London to join AC Milan earlier this month and Timo Werner flopped in his debut Premier League season after a mega £48m move last summer.
With Tammy Abraham also edging closer towards the exit door, a top striker to spearhead Chelsea's title challenge is much needed.
Lukaku would fit the bill and wouldn't need to adapt to the Premier League after previous spells with Everton and Manchester United.
Abramovich reportedly sent his son out to Milan earlier this month to seal a deal for Lukaku's return.
And the Blues are reportedly willing to sanction a whopping £10m salary to tempt the Belgian back to Stamford Bridge.
