The Blue and Whites were relegated from Spain’s premier division in 2018 and after spending two seasons in the second tier, they were then relegated again to Primera Federacion.
Desperate to help out, Perez has paid part of his own transfer fee due to the club’s lack of funds, according to AS.
Perez has racked up 96 appearances for the Galician side across three different spells, including a loan spell while he was at Arsenal.
The striker had initially signed for Arsenal on a £17m deal from Deportiva La Coruna but returned on loan after a poor spell at the Gunners.
