The 'Living Nostradamus' who correctly predicted that France will face Argentina in the World Cup final has revealed who he reckons will win the tournament.
The future-telling prophet, Athos Salome, got it right when he insisted the two nations would star in the tournament's finale before a ball was kicked in Qatar. And his prediction came true when Argentina's semi-final win over Croatia was followed by France's victory against Morocco, setting the stage for an epic showdown between the football giants.
But Salome's prediction is no surprise as he also correctly foresaw the Queen's death and the arrival of Covid in the past. The Brazilian now claims he's envisioned the winner of this year's World Cup ahead of Sunday's clash, and his prior correct predictions earned him the nickname Nostradamus, after the French philosopher who foresaw events long into the future during his lifetime.

Unfortunately for France, Salome's senses have told him that Argentina will emerge victorious in the finale.
He makes his predictions based on a system called Kabbalah that analyses mathematical probabilities.

His sum for the final consists of the final date of the tournament (Sunday December 18), and the names of the participants. And his calculations gave Argentina the number eight, which he said represents: "The completion of creation, and the beginning of a new cycle, the receiving of what is done and practiced."
And this cycle can be attributed to Argentina ace Lionel Messi who is set to play in his last World Cup final, whereas hotshot team-mate Julian Alvarez is participating in his first tournament.
France on the other hand, were given the number seven by the Kabbalah and Salome, and quoting mathematician Pythagoras, said: "Since time immemorial, the number seven has undoubtedly been the most present in all philosophy and sacred literature, which also makes it the sacred, perfect and powerful number seven."
But the No.7 isn't powerful enough to hand France victory as Salome states: "The Law of Seven understands that the Universe consists of forces that influence each other and therefore nothing ever stays the same, it either evolves or degenerates."
And this isn't good news for France who go into the match as reigning World Champions. Based on Salome's theory that nothing ever stays the same, Didier Deschamps' side are set to lose their crown, he added: "It therefore makes no sense for France to be champions again."
Argentina's association with the No.8 has given them a boost going into the game as the match comes eight years after they lost in the final to Germany, and that appearance happened 48 years after their previous final appearance. But despite Salome's vision, he insists games cannot be predicted and continued: "You cannot predict games, that is luck and luck is measured by effort and not by guessing, I have always been against giving my guess, because thousands of people are betting, I am against games of chance."
