Liverpool’s Sadio Mane pictured arriving in Munich ahead of £35m Bayern transfer
Sadio Mane has been snapped touching down in Germany ahead of his £35million switch to Bayern Munich.
The Liverpool winger, 30, has agreed a £360k-a-week deal with the Bundesliga champions and will put pen to paper on a three-year deal, once he passes a medical. Mane's official unveiling to expected to take place at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday (June 22) following progressive talks on Merseyside.
Bayern's Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic flew over to enter discussions with Liverpool counterpart Julian Ward on Saturday (June 18), following the rejection of Bayern's £25m offer. The two parties then thrashed out a £30m agreement over the weekend, which could rise by a further £5m with add-ons.
Now, the Senegalese star has been filmed leaving an aircraft at Munich airport ahead of his mega-money move to Bavaria. Subsequent footage then shows Mane arriving at the Krankenhaus Barmherzige Bruder Munchen hospital to begin his medical.
Entering the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield, Liverpool had been in negotiations about extending terms. Mane, though, was demanding an eye-watering increase to his £100k-a-week salary and wanted to almost quadruple his earnings.

Though the Reds were unwilling to break their wage structure to satisfy his request – Virgil van Dijk is currently their highest earner on a reported £220k-a-week – and Mane's interview whilst away on international duty confirmed his intention to leave in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool moved quickly to seal his replacement, confirming the £85m acquisition of Darwin Nunez from Benfica. The Uruguayan registered 34 goals in 41 matches for the Primera Liga outfit last season and is expected to line-up alongside Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz in a revamped front three for the 2022/23 campaign.
