Liverpool are apparently leading the race to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund next summer, with the player continuing to produce outstanding performances in Germany. Bellingham has made 68 appearances for the German giants since signing from Birmingham in 2020.
The midfielder is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in European football and has already won 10 caps for England at the age of just 18.
The youngster was part of Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad and played the full 90 minutes when his country thrashed San Marino 10-0 last month.
Bellingham has started all but one of Dortmund’s games in the Bundesliga and Champions League this season and has received rave reviews once again.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool will need to shell out a staggering £90million to land Bellingham, who is contracted to stay in Germany until 2025.
Bellingham made 44 appearances for Championship side Birmingham City after breaking into their first-team just days after his 16th birthday.

If the midfielder does return to England with a move to Liverpool, it will prove embarrassing for Manchester United and Ed Woodward.
United pursued the player while he was at Birmingham and were desperate to take him to Old Trafford.
But he instead opted to go to Germany. A move to Anfield now would illustrate just how far the Red Devils have fallen from grace.
If the top European players don’t want to move to Old Trafford, it suggests United are no longer held in the high regard they once were among the elite players.

United have struggled in their midfield department this term, with Fred and Scott McTominay failing to impress.
And new boss Ralf Rangnick could do with someone of Bellingham’s talents to come in and provide stability at the heart of his team.
Instead, Bellingham could look to cement his place in the Liverpool line-up, where he may feel he has more opportunities of winning silverware.
The Reds are currently second in the Premier League table and have progressed to the Champions League knockout stages after winning all six of their group matches.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp already has the likes of Fabinho, Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson at his disposal, while Thiago and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have impressed in spells this season.
Bellingham will be confident of starting games wherever he goes, however, such is the extent of his talent and he may be the man to help push Liverpool to the next level.
The Reds won the Champions League trophy in 2019 and the Premier League title the following season – but they haven’t won any silverware since.
