Liverpool tipped to sign Salah replacement who will create new problem for Klopp
Liverpool have been tipped to sign Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia if they lose Mohamed Salah next summer. However, the winger’s arrival would create a new problem for Jurgen Klopp as he may be forced to play Dominik Szoboszlai in a different position.
Liverpool fought off interest from the Saudi Pro League to keep Salah late in the summer transfer window. Al-Ittihad were reportedly prepared to pay up to £200million for the Egypt superstar.
Interest is expected to be reignited in the January window. However, Liverpool will hope they will be able to convince Salah to stay until the end of the season at least.
Former Reds left-back Stephen Warnock says Salah is replaceable, just like Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho were. He says next summer would be the right time for Salah to seek pastures news.

Warnock told talkSPORT: “Everyone’s replaceable. I’ve said it about Suarez, I’ve said it about Coutinho, and he [Salah] will be replaceable in time.
“I think the big problem is with Salah if you get a £175million offer from Saudi Arabia that’s difficult to say no to. I wouldn’t sell him in January but maybe next season, but only if you’ve got someone else lined up.”
Warnock believes Kvaratskhelia is the type of player Liverpool should be pursuing. The Georgia star has seen his reputation go through the roof in the last 12 months after leading Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years.
However, Kvaratskhelia has played the vast majority of his career as a left winger, the opposite side to Salah. Warnock reckons that could see Szoboszlai, who played the majority of last season at RB Leipzig on the right, move out wide.

Szoboszlai has had a fine start to life at Anfield playing in central midfield. Klopp would then face the problem of having to find another midfielder if he uses Szoboszlai on the wing.
Warnock added: “You’d have to have someone exciting lined up, the one player that springs to mind is Kvaratskhelia. He’s the one player you look at where you think he’s young and has potential and can play, but he’s a left-sided player, could he play on the right?
“Dominik Szoboszlai, that’s where he played at RB Leipzig, will he play further up if Salah goes? The scouting network will be out now knowing Salah’s getting to that point, but the big thing for Liverpool too is the commercial aspect.
“He gets bums on seats and you walk around Anfield seeing all the scarves and shirts from Egypt and Africa, and the number of shirts he sells everywhere around the world is phenomenal.”
