Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah will consider a move away from the Anfield club this summer if he receives a lucrative offer that trumps his current salary on Merseyside, according to his former coach and mentor Hamdi Nooh. The Egyptian forward has been heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid in recent months after repeated refusals to verbally commit his future to his current employers.
Salah will get the opportunity to impress his potential suitors on Tuesday evening when Liverpool face Los Blancos in their Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.
He has been one of the few shining lights for the Reds this season, scoring 25 goals in all competitions to lead the attacking charge for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The 28-year-old sparked rumours of a move to Madrid or Barcelona back in December when he admitted in an interview with AS that he sees the El Clasico pair as ‘top clubs’ and declared that his immediate future is in Liverpool’s hands.
He doubled down on his claims last week, telling Marca that he would be open to joining a La Liga club before the end of his career.
It has also been claimed that the player’s relationship with Klopp has deteriorated in recent months after he reacted angrily to being substituted against Chelsea at the beginning of last month.

Nooh, who nurtured a teenage Salah whilst in charge of Egyptian side El-Mokawloon, has suggested that his former protege could seek a new challenge at the end of the campaign if an attractive proposal is submitted from elsewhere.
“He may think about leaving Liverpool if a better offer comes in,” Nooh told AS.
“But that’s just my own opinion. He’s unique and his family means everything to him.”
When quizzed directly on whether Salah could reunite with former Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard at Real Madrid, the experienced coach replied: “Absolutely! Hazard is one of the best players in the world along with [Lionel] Messi.
“If Salah joined Madrid or Barcelona, he would bring a lot to either team because he will be playing with players who were born to be on the ball.”
Real boss Zinedine Zidane remained coy on the possibility of a future move for Salah at Monday’s press conference, standing firm in his refusal to be drawn into addressing transfer speculation.
“Since he’s not our player, I’m not going to get into that,” Zidane told reporters.
“Salah’s not our player either, all I’m interested in is [the game against Liverpool].”
Meanwhile, Klopp appeared to rule out the Egypt international’s departure in February when he suggested that he would be looking to keep hold of his star man for the foreseeable future.
“It is very important, both to the team and [Salah], that Mo stays here with us,” said the Liverpool boss.
“It is not often that I have to praise my own players, which of course I always like to do.
“But in Mo’s case, the numbers just speak for themselves. But Mo is not only a goalscorer. He is developed football-wise as well and is a very, very important player for us.
“And hopefully he will be that for a very long time, of course.”
