Liverpool star Jota shares incredible FIFA record as injured ace kills time
Diogo Jota has proven his ability on the pitch for Liverpool this season, and is now showcasing his off-field talents while on the sidelines.
The Portuguese forward joined the Reds last summer from Wolves and was in blistering form until he suffered an injury during a Champions League group stage encounter with Midtjylland in December.
Jota’s record of nine goals in his 17 Liverpool appearances was certainly impressive, but he has now caught the attention of many with a different type of statistic.
It has emerged that the Reds’ No. 20 has won all 30 of this week's FUT Champions matches on FIFA’s Ultimate Team game mode- a feat very few are able to achieve.
He shared an image on social media boasting his record of invincibility as well as revealing the team he has used to go undefeated.
At the time of posting, Jota was ranked number one in the world in PlayStation's Weekend League standings.
Jota’s Ultimate Team squad features his 99 rated pro player card, though does not include any other Liverpool players.
An avid gamer in his spare time, this is not the first time he has produced 30 straight victories on FUT Champions.
The Portuguese international produced a similar outcome last April after another scintillating run of results, propelling him to a top-100 finish in the world.
In April 2020, during the coronavirus outbreak, the former Wolves player also won the ePremier League Invitational FIFA tournament having defeated Trent Alexander-Arnold in the final of the competition.
