Liverpool star Curtis Jones’ filthy pass for England U21s has fans very excited
Curtis Jones has Liverpool fans 'very excited' for the future of their midfielder after he wowed fans with his display for England U21s.
Jones is currently part of the side that are playing in the Euro U21s – and the Three Lions have battled their way to the quarter-finals. The Liverpudlian was instrumental in their final group-stage game against Israel.
And one pass has had fans singing his praises on Twitter – Jones picks up the ball on the halfway line – and immediately takes out three lines of Israeli players with an inch-perfect through ball. Unfortunately, the chance came to nothing, but fans were still impressed.
"If he was called Curtis Jodoninho we’d be praying to sign him all summer to strengthen our midfield," one fan joked. And a second added: "Yeah, let's not pretend that he's not gonna be first-choice midfielder next season. Can't believe the people who doubted his talent!"

"Let’s give him a run of games because when we do, we see sparks of what he is about. He is good enough but needs consistent game time," a third tweeted. While another said: "We are saying he’s a highly talented player with potential to be very effective as part of a Liverpool squad!"
Jones was impressive in the midfield, completing 120 out of 124 passes. Out of those passes, Jones attempted nine long balls – all of which found their target.
