Liverpool show strongest Saul interest, eye two sales and line up Henderson deal
Liverpool have already strengthened Jurgen Klopp's squad with the £36million signing of Ibrahima Konate – but their summer business is unlikely to end there.
Konate, 22, joined the Reds from RB Leipzig after they activated his release clause back in May, with Klopp keen to add defensive cover following last season's injury crisis at centre-back.
But reports suggest Anfield chiefs are still eyeing up a number of other targets this summer, while also identifying potential outgoings on Merseyside.
We're on hand with the latest Liverpool transfer news for you below, along with a rumoured contract extension for one of their key men…
Reds showing strongest Saul interest
Saul Niguez is not short of potential suitors amid doubts over his future at Atletico Madrid, but Spanish outlet AS claim Liverpool are the 'most enthusiastic' of them.
Chelsea and Barcelona have also been tipped to sign the 26-year-old, who still has five years remaining on his current Atletico deal.
While it is Liverpool who are showing most interest in Saul, though, the report also states that their rumoured offer of £34million would not be enough to prise him away from the Spanish champions.

Duo set for exit
According to The Mirror, Liverpool chiefs are desperate to get outcasts Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic off their books this summer.
Wilson, a product of the club's academy, has spent the last three years out on loan with Derby, Bournemouth and Cardiff, while Grujic has been on four successive loan stints with Cardiff, Hertha Berlin (twice) and Porto.
Reds officials are hoping to raise around £22million for the duo, which would be put towards a potential new signing for Klopp.
Henderson set for new deal
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson recently entered the final two years of his contract at Anfield, where he has spent the last decade after completing a £16million move from Sunderland.
And The Mirror are reporting that he is set to begin talks with the club over an extension, which at 31 years of age could allow him to finish his career on Merseyside.
Virgil van Dijk and Alisson are already in talks with Reds chiefs over new contracts of their own, and now Henderson is being lined up as the next key player to pen fresh terms.
He has captained Liverpool to Premier League and Champions League glory in recent seasons, with Klopp branding him a "legend" of the club.
