Liverpool miss out on De Paul, offer Coman exit and rival Man Utd for Sancho
Following the singing of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig at the end of May, Jurgen Klopp has set his sights on additions further forward with both a central midfielder and a winger high on the priority list.
With Gini Wijnaldum on the verge of his unveiling as a PSG player, the Liverpool boss wants to bring in a like-for-like replacement but the latest reports suggest he has missed out on his number one target.
Elsewhere, an unsettled Kinsgley Coman is yet to sign a new deal at Bayern Munich which has alerted the Anfield hierarchy who may look to swoop in and steal the Frenchman away from Bavaria.
Also, Jadon Sancho has looked destined for Manchester United since last summer, but could a last minute deal be struck with arch-rivals Liverpool?
Here's the latest from Daily Star Sport on Liverpool's transfer dealings…
Liverpool miss out on De Paul
After Gini Wijnaldum's contract expired at the end of last season, Klopp's priority has been finding an adequate replacement for the departing Dutchman.
That had looked to be Rodrigo De Paul; the Argentine scored nine goals in 36 matches for Udinese last season.

FourFourTwo suggests Klopp had made contact with the Serie A side at the start of the summer and were quoted a transfer fee of €35 million.
However in the last 24 hours, Sportitalia TV reporter Gianluigi Longari has reported that De Paul is set to sign for Atletico Madrid on a five-year deal.
Klopp could offer Coman exit
Jurgen Klopp could be tempted to offer Kingsley Coman a way out of Bayern Munich, with reports that the Frenchman is unhappy with a lack of game-time.
Spanish outlet Fichajes have stated Coman is demanding a better contract, but the Germans are unwilling to match his heightened demands.
Yet they have suggested that Liverpool may be tempted to make him one of their top earners and match the £200,000 a-week salary currently afforded to Mohamed Salah and Thiago Alcantara.
Reds to rival Man Utd for Sancho
According to Anfield Central, Liverpool are leaving it to the last minute to rival Manchester United for England winger Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils are rumoured to have agreed a contract with the Borussia Dortmund wideman until 2026, but a hold-up remains due to some haggling over the transfer fee.

Last Thursday, United had an initial bid rejected with the Bundesliga side still holding out for an extra £13 million.
