Liverpool ‘legend’ Charlie Adam ‘cleaned out’ as he’s mistaken for Corrie icon
Liverpool fans had mixed opinions over the performance of Charlie Adam in their legends clash against Celtic – but plenty chuckled at his clash with Ross Wallace.
The 37-year-old, who called time on his career last year having returned to Scotland with Dundee, lined up for Liverpool at Anfield – despite only playing 37 games for the club.
One fan even compared him to a former Coronation Street actor, while others laughed as he was sent flying to the turf by a bruising challenge.

Liverpool took home a 2-0 victory thanks to Steven Gerrard's penalty and a Mark Gonzalez solo effort, with the former skipper delighted to be back in Liverpool red – making sure as an ex-Rangers boss that he also taunted furious Celtic fans after his goal.
Mentioning his young son, Gerrard said: "Listen, it feels good when I score in the back garden against Lio!
"If you love football, if you love the game, if you love this club, I'll never get tired of that.
"There was a bit of pressure on me! I took my son to football this morning and he scored a couple, so he had said to me, 'You best score today or you're going to have to buy me something.'
"At least I'll save a few quid by getting on the scoresheet!"
Sir Kenny Dalglish took charge of the side, with proceeds going towards the LFC Foundation and and its partner charities.
