Liverpool could reportedly receive help from super-agent Jorge Mendes as they seek a transfer for Fulham teenager Fabio Carvalho. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has been linked with several midfielders ahead of the January window, suggesting he wants to add depth in the position.
Carvalho has emerged as one of the Football League’s brightest talents in the last six months.
He made his Fulham debut in the Premier League last season and scored once in four appearances before the Cottagers’ top-flight relegation.
The 19-year-old has become a key player under new boss Marco Silva this term. The attacking midfielder has scored four times in 11 games, with Fulham fighting to be promoted at the first attempt.
Carvalho’s form is a big reason for Fulham currently topping the Championship table.
And it could also earn him a move to Liverpool, according to reports.
Goal claim that super-agent Mendes is looking to bring Carvalho – who is currently looked after by Unique Sports Management – over to his services.
The Portuguese, who represents some of the world’s best players, apparently wants to ‘push’ for a transfer to Liverpool.
However, frequent rumours about the England U18 international’s future have upset Fulham boss Silva. The Portuguese is understood to be “not happy with the situation”.

He recently said: “I really hope [those advising Carvalho] are taking care of [him], not just for the moment, not just to do a big contract, but about the boy of Fabio Carvalho.”
Silva also said in November: “I’d like to see a talent like Fabio’s with calmness, and not with these rumours around a 19-year-old, because that’s not helpful for him, for sure.
“We have so many examples of this type of thing that happen in the wrong way, and players that disappear.
“I would not like to see more months and months until the end of the season. But it’s not something that’s in our hands, and not just Fabio’s, but somebody getting behind him, and I can’t control it.
“I (hope) people who are advising him don’t want to get just one shot – one contract and that will be the career of the player.”

Liverpool have also been widely linked with several other midfield players.
England star Jude Bellingham is one of the players who has been suggested by various reports as a possible arrival at Anfield in the near future.
Jurgen Klopp might also seek to sign a forward given that wide pair Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane will disappear for a month while they compete at the African Cup of Nations.
The pair have scored a combined 29 goals in all competitions this season and Klopp has few options outside of the prolific duo.
