‘We’re going to win the league’: Liverpool fans in dreamland as Jurgen Klopp’s men get back on track with very, VERY scary FIVE goal first-half blitz on Bournemouth at Anfield

Liverpool have put their early season wobbles behind them with a first half blitz on Bournemouth at Anfield. 

Jurgen Klopp’s men raced into a three minute lead thanks to Luiz Diaz and hit a further four goals before the break to lead the Cherries 5-0 at half time. 

It is the first time in Premier League history that the Reds have been up 5-0 at half time and the last time it happened in the top flight was when Leicester beat Southampton in October 2019 – a game the Foxes ended-up winning 9-0.

Following Diaz’s opener, further goals from Harvey Elliott, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Roberto and Firmino and Virgil van Dijk saw Scott Parker’s men stunned at the half time whistle. 

Liverpool fans were quick to share their joy at seeing the club get back on track with a number of fans declaring that the Reds are now favourites to win the Premier League. 

A number of supporters stated that ‘Liverpool are going to win the league’. While another stated ‘I don’t ever see Liverpool losing again. Crown them right now.’

The first-half masterclass has renewed belief among supporters following a disappointing start to the season that saw gain just two points from their opening three games. 

However, one supporter has praised the performance against Bournemouth by saying  ‘When the boys are up to standard Liverpool are very, VERY scary.’ 

Yet, you can’t always please everybody. One tweet bemoaned the fact that Liverpool had scored five goals but there was a missing name on the scoresheet.  

Fans are pleased to see the team perform to their best…all except Mo Salah it seems 

Posting ‘5 nil up at half-time Liverpool and Salah’s had zero assists/goals…great.’ After realising that Mohammed Salah was yet to make an impact in the first half romp. 

Liverpool continued the scoring into the second half by grabbing a sixth just minutes after the restart.
