Liverpool could have Mo Salah replacement join Man Utd despite £164m deal
Liverpool could see the man they have been lining up to replace Mohamed Salah move to Manchester United – despite their new investment.
The Reds held on to Salah over the summer, with clubs from Saudi Arabia keen to lure the Egyptian to the Middle East. Jurgen Klopp's side were able to rebuff any intrest from Al Ittihad – but they are set to reignite their interest in January.
And to fill his sizeable shoes, Liverpool had started to track Juventus winger Federico Chiesa. However, the Reds are set to face competition from United.

According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, United have started to target Chiesa as a replacement for Jadon Sancho. The Englishman is currently exiled from all first-team related activities at the Red Devils after a public row with Erik ten Hag.
Sancho is showing no signs of backing down, and with Antony also away from the first team, Ten Hag is looking to bolster his attacking options.

Liverpool have recently received a boost in the transfer market following news global sports investment firm Dynasty Equity has completed a 'strategic common equity minority investment' in the club.
The club have detailed that the minority investment will mainly be used to pay down bank debt incurred during the Covid pandemic as well as to enhance Anfield, the AXA Training Centre and to repurchase Melwood training ground as well as fund recent transfers.
