Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is set to be the subject of a £40million bid from Al-Ittihad, according to reports.
The Saudi Pro League club have already handed mega money deals to free agents Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante, as well as splashing £25m on Portuguese winger Jota from Celtic.
They've now identified Fabinho as their next target. According to The Athletic, an offer expected to be worth £40m is imminent.
Anfield chiefs won't let the Brazil international, 29, leave Merseyside unless they have a replacement No. 6 lined up. They are actively exploring their options, with Southampton's Romeo Lavia one being worked on.

Fabinho has three years left on his current contract. He signed a new deal in August 2021 having joined the club from Monaco in a move worth up to £44m in the 2018 summer window.
There's increased competition for midifeld spots in Jurgen Klopp's starting XI next season following the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

And Jordan Henderson is also being lined up for a switch to the Middle East, with Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq keen to sign the Reds' captain – offering him four times his current wage.
Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on Henderson, claiming that Liverpool have asked for a £10m fee, with the main chunk of that being up front.

Fabinho has been a stalwart in Klopp's side which has won virtually every major trophy on offer in recent years, clocking up 219 appearances for the club.
But he came in for criticism over his performances last season. Southampton are holding out for a fee in the region of £50m for Lavia, so cashing in on Fabinho now before his value continues to drop may be a wise idea.
Al-Ittihad are one of four Saudi clubs who were taken over by the country's Public Investment Fund in June, giving them significant funds to spend on talent from Europe this summer. Benzema is being paid roughly £200m a year, while Kante's annual salary is £85.5m.
