Liverpool ace agrees Man Utd transfer after rejecting contract and Chelsea offer
Academy star Ethan Ennis has confirmed his move from Liverpool to Manchester United after turning down a new contract with the Reds.
The 16-year-old midfielder was one of the most highly-rated youngsters in the Liverpool set-up, and starred in the U18's run to FA Youth Cup final last season, beating United and Liverpool en route.
But he will be hoping to go one further and lift the trophy with United next season after switching allegiances.
Ennis scored three goals in that journey that ended with a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, gaining attention from some of the biggest clubs in the country.
The Echo claim that Ennis was contacted by United and Chelsea while he was in discussions to agree a new deal with Liverpool.
The youngster rejected ended up rejecting the offer of a scholarship from his boyhood club.
And he has confirmed that he rebuffed a move to west London by revealing on Instagram that he is now a United player.
Ennis posted two pictures of himself at Old Trafford, in one of which he was holding a no. 9 shirt with his name on.
The caption read: "I am delighted to announce that I have signed for Manchester United.
"Grateful for this opportunity, can't wait to get started."
United youngsters Marc Jurado and Alejandro Garnacho both commented on the post welcoming him to the club.

Ennis did visit Chelsea's Cobham training ground earlier this month, but ultimately decided to join United instead.
