Lindelof’s terrible Sweden defending has Man Utd fans fearful for coming games
Manchester United fans have been left fearful ahead of the club's coming matches after Victor Lindelof's torrid display in Sweden's loss to Georgia on Thursday night.
Lindelof was at fault for the second goal as Sweden fell to a 2-0 defeat to surrender their lead at the top of their World Cup qualifying group to Spain.
The United defender attempted to clear the ball instead of tackling Georgia's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, causing the ball to ricochet off the winger and give him a clear run at goal.
Lindelof is set for a run in the United starting line-up following a hamstring injury suffered by Raphael Varane against Atalanta.
Fans were quick to react to Lindelof's display on social media as one fan tweeted: “That was typical Manchester United defending by Lindelof.”
Another United supporter added: “That defending Lindelof hurts my eyes.”
A third fan was in a light-hearted mood as they wrote: “Absolutely superb defending by Lindelof on Georgia’s second goal.”
Another unimpressed fan also commented by saying: “Lindelof showing soft defending for Sweden too.”
Varane's injury is set to sideline the Frenchman until the end of November, meaning he will miss United's next three matches.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's move to three central defenders, Lindelof will likely start the away matches against Watford, Villarreal and Chelsea in Varane's absence.
In his 12 appearances so far this season, Lindelof has already conceded 21 goals and his latest international display will leave United fans worried.
Lindelof has recently commented on United's poor recent form and the criticism of the team's performances so far this season.
“When you play for United, there will always be a lot of media coverage," explained the Swedish defender.
"It goes up and down in football. We have performed very well in football as well. If you get some bad results, clearly a lot is written. Internally, we’re just trying to work hard and try to reverse the bad results.
“We have not got the results and performed as we wish. It hasn’t been the best possible, but that’s the way it is in football. It’s about coming back and working harder.”
