Lewandowski’s 10-minute hat-trick is nothing – he once scored five in nine mins
There aren't too many players who can score a 10-minute hat-trick in the Champions League, and it still not be their most impressive goalscoring performance of all time.
Because while Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski rewrote the record books with his quickfire treble against RB Salzburg on Tuesday night, he's gone two better, not one, before.
Incredible though it may seem, the veteran hotshot netted a four-minute hat-trick against Wolfsburg in 2015 – and then scored twice more in the next five minutes for good measure.
What makes that feat even more remarkable is that Lewandowski didn't even start the match, he was only brought on at half-time with Bayern trailing 1-0.
He didn't take long to get to work, levelling the scores from close range six minutes after his introduction.
Lewandowski completed the turnaround a minute later with a rasping strike from 25 yards before wrapping up his hat-trick to make it 3-1 after another 120 seconds.
But the predatory Pole wasn't done there and scored his fourth of the evening soon after, volleying home with ease from around 12 yards out.
And he added his and Bayern's fifth just nine minutes after his first, slamming home a wonderful acrobatic volley from Mario Gotze's pinpoint cross.

Wolfsburg didn't know what had hit them as Lewandowski single-handedly turned the game around with a record-breaking display in a minute of minutes.
His treble against Salzburg wasn't quite as impressive, although it was arguably of greater importance with the last-16 tie poised at 1-1 on aggregate.
The Poland captain stroked home two penalties inside 21 minutes and added a third after chasing down a clearance from opposition goalkeeper Philipp Kohn to tap home from close range.
Bayern added four more through Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane to book their place in the quarter-finals at the expense of Salzburg, who were probably left wondering what had hit them.
"This was a statement, an exclamation mark," Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer said after the match. "We started well and presented ourselves differently from recent weeks.
"That gives you hope that this will go on. You could see from the start that we had a good attitude."
