Lewandowski’s contribution to Bayern Munich’s treble-winning 2019-2020 season was recognised by FIFA.

As a result, he was awarded the Best Men’s Player award for 2020 in December ahead of both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

He also helped Bayern claim the Bundesliga title for a ninth straight season and provided a hat-trick against Borussia Monchengladbach to confirm their status as champions.

Although Bayern failed to defend their Champions League crown this year after crashing out of the competition at the hands of PSG, Lewandowski will be eager to rewrite history next season.

Bayern will also have a new manager, Julian Nagelsmann, at the helm as they look to restore their European success.
