Is history repeating itself at Leicester? With the Champions League in sight Vardy has lost his form ahead of a super-tough run-in… so can Rodgers’ men forget last season’s agony – and their Covid rules row – to cling on?

Jamie Vardy’s form is an interesting one. He has scored just one goal in his last 19 games going back to before Christmas.

Yet he played well on Sunday, and it was his decent run that helped set up Kelechi Iheanacho’s winner at Wembley. He may be goal shy at the moment but he certainly isn’t anonymous.

After reaching the FA Cup final on Saturday having defeated Southampton 1-0, Brendan Rodgers makes two changes to his side, bringing in Luke Thomas and James Maddison for Ricardo Pereira and Ayoze Perez.

West Brom’s last game was also against Southampton, hammering them 3-0, so Sam Allardyce has stuck with the same staring XI.

Big night too for the Baggies. I mean they look doomed to be honest, but winning their last two games means they are in their best form of the season (not joking) surely Big Sam isn’t about to pull one of the Premier League’s greatest escapology acts by keeping them up?

This is our first Premier League fixture without any of the ‘so-called’ Big Six in action since the European Super League debacle, so the King Power is a relatively quiet place right now on what is a bright if perhaps a little chilly spring evening.

Because if we want to focus on England’s best teams on merit and not on who has the fattest wallet, look no further than Leicester City.

Third in the table and with Champions League qualification within their grasp, this is a big night for them as they take on relegation threatened West Bromwich Albion.

Good evening all and welcome to our live coverage of tonight’s Premier League action.
