Thursday evening's Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City has been called off due to positive Covid-19 cases.

It's Spurs' third game in-a-row to be called off due to positive tests in the Tottenham camp, and the fourth Premier League game to be postponed since the weekend.

Manchester United's clash with Brentford and Watford's trip to Burnley were also postponed during the midweek fixtures.

Tottenham have also seen their Europa Conference League clash with Stade Rennes and their weekend fixture with Brighton postponed.

However, Leicester are also dealing with their own Covid-19 outbreak, and Brendan Rodgers had already blasted the Premier League's 'lack of support'.

The news comes after Brentford boss Thomas Frank asked the Premier League to postpone its weekend fixtures.

"We think we should postpone the full round of Premier League games this weekend," he said on Thursday morning.

"Covid cases are going through the roof at all Premier League clubs, everyone is dealing with it and having problems.

"To postpone this round and also the Carabao Cup round would give everyone a week at least, or four or five days to clean and do everything at the training ground so everything is clean and you break the chain."
