Leeds fans ‘forgot they’re losing’ as they refuse to give Chelsea the ball
Leeds United fans appeared to forget time was of the essence as they refused to give the ball back to Chelsea for a throw-in.
During the Whites’ 3-0 loss on Wednesday night, Raphinha was seen on camera pleading with his own support to get the ball so Leeds could resume play and look for a way back. In footage shared on social media, a woman in the home section was seen holding the ball after it went out of play and she refused to give it back. Most in the crowd don’t appear to be too fussed either, with even a man in a Leeds replica top smirking at her prank.
The film then showed Marcos Alonso also watching on at the incident from a distance, with a big smile slapped across his face. The crowd member holds the ball for too long, and this prompts Raphinha to ask for the ball to be returned, with Leeds’ chances of survival diminishing with every passing minute. Eventually, the ball is handed back to the attacker.
The viral film has had fans absolutely flabbergasted over how the supporters in the homestand behaved.
One anguished: "In a relegation battle FFS and very likely to go down, wtf is wrong with them!?" Another said: "Raphinha hates that league man."

Another said: “These fans are embarrassing. We were losing 2-0 and about to be relegated, get a grip." Jesse Marsch's side remain slumped in the Premier League relegation zone and there is only two games left to save their skin.
Goals from Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic and Romelu Lukaku capitalised on Dan James' red card on 20 minutes, leaving Leeds in more of a desperate situation.
Marsch told BBC Sport: "Two tackles in the last two games that were a little bit crossing the line and hurting the team. I'm not going to blame or finger-point any of our players. They've given everything they can. We have to stay within boundaries in not jeopardising ourselves."
