Leeds brutally mock cocky TOWIE star after West Ham suffer defeat in thriller
Leeds United have made the most of their thrilling win over West Ham on the weekend by poking fun at TOWIE star Mark Wright.
Jack Harrison scored a brilliant hat-trick as Marcelo Bielsa’s side stunned the Hammers 3-2 at the London Stadium on Sunday.
Leeds have been hit hard by coronavirus and had been beaten 2-0 by West Ham in the FA Cup just a week before.
But despite arriving with a threadbare squad which included several teenagers, they produced an inspired performance to overcome David Moyes’ team, who could have equalised in the 94th-minute through the in-form Jarrod Bowen.
There was one West Ham fan in particular who must have been hoping that Bowen’s chested effort from Michail Antonio’s late cross had hit the back of the net.
That’s because The Only Way is Essex star and big Hammers fan Wright had been brimming with confidence before the match.
In a video posted to social media, Wright gave his pre-match prediction while walking through the Olympic Park.
“I’m just going to watch West Ham pump Leeds all over the shop,” he confidently stated.
Little did he know what was to come – an unexpected defeat and a roasting on social media from the opposition.
On Monday, Leeds grasped the opportunity to dunk on the reality TV personality with a cheeky video entitled 'The Only Way is Leeds!'
The Yorkshire club cut his bold prediction into a montage of Harrison’s three goals, before ending on another clip from Wright.
“I look like a complete mug with what I’ve just said,” Wright concludes succinctly.

Wright attended the game with two of his cousins and left disappointed – but thankfully not embarrassed, if his reply to Leeds on Twitter is anything to go by.
“Haha love it,” he replied, in stark contrast to some other West Ham fans in the comments, who did not find the video as amusing.
The victory was Leeds’ second in succession in the Premier League and moved them onto 22 points, nine clear of the relegation zone.
West Ham remain in fourth place, two points clear of Arsenal, who saw their north London derby with Tottenham postponed on the weekend due to coronavirus.
