Arsenal legend Lee Dixon claims his former club should be targeting third-place Chelsea rather than chasing down fourth-place Manchester United after sealing a late 2-1 win over Wolves.
Alexandre Lacazette forced a stoppage-time own goal from Jose Sa as the Gunners came from behind to beat Bruno Lage’s Wolves to move within one point off the Champions League places.
The visitors took the lead through Hwang Hee-chan’s first-half strike, but two goals in the final ten minutes, including a late own goal from Jose Sa, earned the Gunners a precious three points.

The win puts Arsenal one point off the Premier League’s top four with two games in hand on Manchester United
The Gunners now sit fifth in the Premier League, one point off fourth place Manchester United, but with two games in hand.
‘If I’m in that Arsenal dressing room now I’m not looking at Man United I’m looking at Chelsea,’ Dixon said in the Amazon Prime studio.
‘With our game in hand and two points behind Chelsea – they’ve got games than us to play in the CL – I’m getting my sights at where Arsenal should be, or should have been for years – all of a sudden that is the target they should be aiming at.
‘(Former captain) Tony Adams would be going around saying in the dressing room, ‘you know what?, forget Man United, we’re going for Chelsea.’

Dixon was also full of praise for Arsenal’s character to fight back and believes boss Mikel Arteta’s substitutions were crucial to the victory.
The Gunners introduced Eddie Nkietah, Nicolas Pepe and Nuno Tavares in place of Kieran Tierney, Gabriel Martinelli and Cedric late on at the Emirates Stadium.
‘They (Arsenal) showed a lot of character out there as Wolves are a frustrating team to play against because of the way they close space down, they don’t give anything away, and when they started to drop into a proper five and make it difficult.
‘A lot of credit goes to Arteta for making those substitutions at the right time with the right player.
‘Pepe hasn’t played a lot of football, but he is an impact player, and they weren’t moving so they wanted to move them.’
