Lautaro Martinez is said to have a ‘big’ offer on the table from Arsenal, per reports but the Gunners will have to step up their interest with a formal bid quickly if they are to beat Tottenham to the transfer. Spurs have reportedly agreed a £60million deal with Inter Milan to sign the striker this morning as they prepare to bolster their attacking options.
It comes just a day after Inter agreed the £97.5m sale of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea but it now appears their fire sale is not set to finish yet.
The Serie A champions have been combating financial difficulty off the field since earlier this year and selling their most-prized assets was the quickest and most efficient way of clearing the debt, despite the backlash from fans.
Archaf Hakimi joined Paris Saint-Germain for around £50m and now Martinez could be set to follow his strike partner Lukaku to London.
However, Tottenham aren’t the only club in the capital to have shown an interest in Martinez.

According to insider Dean Jones, Lautaro also has a bumper package on the table from Arsenal following private talks behind the scenes.
He tweeted: “Lautaro has big personal offer on table from Arsenal – time to step up with offer to Inter though if they really want him.”
The Gunners’ interest in the player was widely reported several weeks ago, when an ambitious enquiry was submitted to Inter Milan.

Now Tottenham look set to pounce as they prepare to up the ante in the transfer market as they close in on the signing of a new striker.
It’s not yet clear if they are planning to replace Kane with Lautaro or if alternatively, they want to sign him to play alongside Kane.
Spurs have also been looking at Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic, who could now join Inter as part of their plan to replace Lukaku and potentially Martinez.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed the Premier League champions are not giving up on the signing of Harry Kane just yet either.
A second bid is expected after Tottenham rejected City’s £100m proposal earlier this summer.
Kane is pushing for a move to the Etihad Stadium where he wants to join England team mate Jack Grealish.
Talk of an agreement with Inter for Martinez could now give City an additional incentive to push hard for Kane.
