Kylian Mbappe tipped to help Liverpool become world beaters with big-money transfer
PSG: Pochettino opens up on Mbappe plans
Former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has claimed that his old club would emerge as the best team on the planet if they manage to tempt Kylian Mbappe to Merseyside in the near future. The 22-year-old has already established himself as one of the game’s finest talents despite his tender years, thriving in attack for both Paris Saint-Germain and France with his electrifying pace and frightening ability in front of goal.
Mbappe has been linked with a move away from his country of birth for some time, with Liverpool regularly tipped as the front runners to land his signature.
It was reported by L’Equipe back in September that the Reds were making regular contact with the striker and his representatives ahead of a possible transfer.
However, it remains to be seen whether Mbappe will decide to remain with PSG, join Liverpool or even opt for Spanish giants Real Madrid, who are also said to be interested in a move.
Cisse has backed his former employers to break the bank in order to sign the young Frenchman, suggesting that his presence would elevate Jurgen Klopp’s side to a whole new level.
“To be honest I spoke to a few journalists,” Cisse told the Daily Mail. “We were talking about Kylian Mbappe, because he’s the best in the world at the moment. And me, I see him in Liverpool, big time.

“It’s a lot of money. A big, massive investment but I think that the boy is worth it and I see him there.”
Liverpool already boast a number of the Premier League’s best attackers, with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino having firmly established themselves as the club’s first choice trio over the last few seasons.
When asked how Mbappe would fit into Klopp’s side and whether he would be a success, Cisse showed no hesitation in tipping his compatriot for further greatness.
“First of all he’s clever, he’s a team-player so he can play in different positions and he will match with Salah and Sadio,” he added.
Klopp previously stressed in 2019 that Liverpool would fail in any attempt to sign Mbappe given the astronomical value of a potential deal, but hinted that the benefits of a move would outweigh the drawbacks of making a huge financial commitment.
“Buying this calibre of player is difficult,” he told reporters. “I don’t see any club at the moment who can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG.
“I don’t see any club, that is how it is. And we are involved in the clubs that cannot do it. It is as easy as that.
“OK, from a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign him. What a player he is. But it is about the money of course.
“No chance. Absolutely no chance. Sorry for killing that story.”
