Kylian Mbappe ‘keen to play’ for Liverpool as PSG star ponders huge transfer decision
Transfer news: Salah, Mbappe, Buendia latest
Kylian Mbappe does consider Liverpool as a viable destination should he leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to reports. Mbappe is regarded as one of the most exciting talents in world football and at just 22 years of age he has already accomplished so much.
He already has four Ligue 1 titles – one coming in his final season at Monaco – as well as scoring in France’s World Cup final triumph over Croatia back in 2018.
Last season he almost added the Champions League to his impressive trophy haul, only for PSG to lose 1-0 against Bayern Munich in the final.
But while Mbappe has been enjoying huge success on the pitch at PSG, there remains constant rumours regarding his future at the club.
Even before he moved to the Parc des Princes, Real Madrid were seen as his preferred destination.

And speculation persists that the Spanish giants are trying to bring the French forward to the Bernabeu this summer.
Mbappe’s contract situation at PSG has only added fuel to the fire as he has just 18 months remaining on his current deal.
Liverpool have also been touted as being genuinely interested in signing Mbappe over the past few years and his comments on Jurgen Klopp’s side previously have often sparked fanfare among Reds supporters.
And the Reds are reportedly on Mbappe’s radar should he decide to leave PSG this summer.
DON’T MISS
That’s according to ESPN, who state Mbappe ‘would be keen to play’ at Anfield under Klopp.
However, the report does point out the financial issues facing both Liverpool and Real amid the coronavirus pandemic make a big-money move extremely unlikely.
It is claimed that Mbappe’s ‘best option’ may be to sign an extension at PSG for the meantime.
But PSG sporting director Leonardo insists the club will not “beg” for Mbappe or Neymar – who also has 18 months left on his deal – to stay.
“I hope that they are convinced that PSG is a good place for a high level and ambitious player,” he said.
“We just need to find an agreement between their desires, their demands, our expectations and our means.
“We are not going to beg: ‘Please, stay.’ It is more calculated than that.
“Those who really want to stay will stay. We speak regularly and I have good feelings on both of those matters.”
He added: “Choosing between Neymar or Mbappe? It is true that the situation is very complicated, but if PSG do not have the means right now to be able to keep its two stars, which team has the capacity to pay the salary of either player? I don’t think any team.”
