Kylian Mbappe has broken his silence by sending a three-word message to his fans as Real Madrid step up their pursuit of the Paris Saint-Germain star. Real had an initial bid, thought to be around £145million, rejected by the French giants.
Reports suggest that Los Blancos are preparing to up their efforts with a new £170m tonight.
Mbappe linked up with his France international team-mates in Clairefontaine after netting a brace for PSG in the 2-0 win over Reims yesterday.
However, the 22-year-old did not train with his country after picking up several knocks in the Ligue 1 fixture.
The French Federation captured Mbappe on video arriving at the team’s training base and the striker send a clear message.
“I’m fine, calm,” Mbappe said.
Former PSG youngster Moussa Diaby, now at Bayer Leverkusen, has been called up to the France international side for the first time.
And he faced questions over Mbappe’s future when he spoke to the press.
“I think his situation is his business and I have nothing to say about it,” Diaby said.
Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni, who has also earned his first international call-up, added: “I have spoken with Kylian, but he only congratulated me on my selection.
“Then we ate and we laughed. We haven’t talked about his future.
“We have talked about the different results of our teams over the weekend, but we have not talked about that (his future).”
