Kylian Mbappe has broken his silence regarding his long-transfer saga linking him with a move to Real Madrid. The France superstar is now in the last six months of his contract at PSG, despite being a vital player for the Ligue 1 side.

Mbappe has spoken out on the rumours that he is set to join Real Madrid when his contract expires.

The 23-year-old has been in scintillating form for PSG this season, firing them to a 12-point lead at the top of Ligue 1.

However, Mbappe is yet to sign a new deal at the Parc des Princes, and looks set to leave the French capital this summer.

German outlet Bild claimed that the striker had agreed to join Real on a free transfer, and had agreed a long-term deal worth £41.54m (€50m) per year in wages.

However, Mbappe has played down any talk that his future has been decided, ahead of next week’s Champions League knockout game against Real.

“If I have made a decision over my future? No,” he told Amazon Prime Video.

“Playing against Real Madrid changes a lot of things. Although I have to freedom to do what I want in this moment, I am not going to speak with a rival or do that type of thing.

“I am concentrated on winning against Real Madrid. And then we will see what happens.”

While they have Lionel Messi and Neymar up front, Mbappe’s departure will come as a huge blow for PSG, who have been desperate to keep hold of the youngest of their star-studded front three.

PSG will be especially annoyed to lose Mbappe to Real Madrid, whose tactics they have openly criticised.

“For the last two years, Real Madrid have been behaving like this, it is not correct, illegal even because they contacted the player. It is unacceptable for us, because it is not correct,” PSG sporting director Leonardo said in August.

“It is proof of the strategy: an offer comes one year before the end of his contract and seven days before the end of the window.

“They want us to reject, to show to Kylian that they tried everything and to start negotiating for next year.”
