Kyle Walker snubs Bayern Munich for Man City stay after crunch talks
Kyle Walker has snubbed a move to Bayern Munich.
Walker has rejected a switch to the German giants in favour of staying with Manchester City.
Walker, 33, became a shock target of Bayern before the end of last season and held talks with them. But despite harbouring ambitions to play abroad before he retires, Walker was unwilling to uproot his young family.
And it’s understood Walker could now sign a contract extension with Pep Guardiola’s Treble winners. He has just 12 months remaining on his current £165,000-a-week deal.

But Guardiola believes the defender can continue to make a big contribution to the team and is keen to keep him.
Walker lost his place in Guardiola’s side for a spell last season when the Spaniard questioned if he could perform a certain role.
But Walker proved Guardiola wrong by winning back his place to have a pivotal role in City’s historic charge towards three trophies.
Walker will be keen to remain part of Guardiola’s plans so he can make Gareth Southgate’s England squad for next summer’s Euros.

Walker, who has 76 England caps to his name, has been utilised in a back three under Southgate and also shared right-back duties with Kieran Tripper.
He was part of the sides who reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup and final of Euro 2020 before the last eight of the 2022 World Cup in December.
Walker showed he still has plenty to give by impressing in his battle with Kylian Mbappe before helping City to glory on three fronts.
