Kyle Walker sings ‘hates Man Utd’ and Erling Haaland cooks steak on night out
Manchester City V Chelsea: Pictures
Kyle Walker was caught on camera singing anti-Manchester United songs while Erling Haaland was grilling a steak during a night-long party to celebrate Manchester City’s latest Premier League title win on Sunday. Pep Guardiola’s side were presented with the trophy for the third straight year following their narrow victory over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium, which took place before an evening of wild celebrations in the city centre.
Several members of City’s first-team squad descended on private Manchester club MNKY HSE to revel in the glory of yet another Premier League triumph, with the post-match festivities going on until the early hours of Monday morning. Walker was among the City players in attendance and found himself at the centre of attention on the dance floor when he began to sing about United while serenading team-mate John Stones.
The England right-back grabbed a microphone and began to shout: “He f****** hates United, Johnny, Johnny Stones…” before several others joined in after the DJ had turned off the music in order to allow the chants to be heard. Another somewhat bizarre clip from the event saw Haaland flipping a steak in the nightclub kitchen while wearing silk pyjamas before taking it off the grill and laying it on a plate, with a number of staff members posing for the camera in the foreground.
Haaland, who recently broke the record for the highest number of goals scored by a player in a single Premier League season, was at the heart of the on-pitch celebrations at the Etihad Stadium earlier on Sunday as Sky Sports were forced to apologise after he swore live on TV while gatecrashing an interview with Jack Grealish. He also spoke of his delight at winning England’s top flight in only his first season at City, who won the race to snap him up from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the previous campaign.

“These are memories I will remember for the rest of my life,” said Haaland. “We’ve been fighting so hard and honestly I don’t know what to say, I didn’t plan anything to say! It’s special. I’m just gonna enjoy this day. This is such a special moment with the trophy and all the players and the whole club. Without the club and my teammates, it would not be possible. Amazing.”
Haaland was later singled out for special praise by fellow City ace Ilkay Gundogan, who lavished his Norwegian colleague after his record-breaking season for the newly-crowned Premier League champions.

“Our game with Erling changes,” explained Gundogan. “We have someone in there who most of the time is able to attract a couple of centre backs so most of the time that gives us one extra man in our build-up, which is always what we’re looking for and crucial to our type of football.”
City will finish their Premier League campaign with their last two games against Brighton and Brentford later this week before turning their attention to the FA Cup final against city neighbours Manchester United, which is set to be played at Wembley next month. Their second Champions League final in three seasons will follow seven days later when they go up against Inter Milan in Istanbul, with both sides vying to claim the greatest prize in European club football at the expense of the other.
