Jules Kounde has revealed how his collapsed move to Chelsea over the summer has affected him this campaign while on international duty with France.
Kounde had looked set to switch Sevilla for Stamford Bridge, but the deal collapsed in the 11th hour.
The 23-year-old told TF1 on Sunday: “Did it affect me? Yes, a little bit, but now I’ve dealt with it.”
Kounde is currently preparing for France's clash with Finland after playing a role in their 8-0 drubbing of Kazakhstan on Saturday.
However, despite his collapsed move, Chelsea could make another move for the defender next summer, with Manchester United also interested.
Spanish-outlet Marca are reporting that both sides are interested in the services of the Frenchman.
However, they will have to wait until next summer to try and push a deal over the line as Sevilla aren't willing to lose their star centre-back in January.
The Spanish side are fearful that should Kounde depart, their season could derail.
But Kounde reportedly has a €70million release clause in his contract, which could see both clubs test the resolve of Sevilla.

There is a possibility that either side could land Kounde for a fee below his release clause due to the financial situation at Sevilla.
Sevilla will reportedly have to make a major sale before July 2022 in order to keep the club afloat.
However, Sevilla's Director of Football, Monchi, has insisted that the side are 'not broke'.
