Klopp makes valid Messi and Ronaldo point after Salah’s wonder goal vs Man City
Jurgen Klopp has insisted Mohamed Salah scored a goal that even Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo would be proud of.
In an entertaining clash at Anfield, Liverpool drew 2-2 with Manchester City in a clash worthy of the two best teams in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola currently dons the crown but Klopp is desperate to wrestle back the title he won the season previous to last.
There were several world-class players on show on Merseyside on Sunday afternoon, including all the goalscorers.
Salah, Sadio Mane, Phil Foden and Kevin de Bruyne all got on the scoresheet but it was the Egyptian's strike that has got everyone talking.
And Klopp was clearly a fan, revelling in both Liverpool goals but singling out Salah's effort and comparing his goal to something that Messi and Ronaldo would be proud of.
He said: "Both were pretty good. The biggest chance we didn't use. I have no idea how Rodri blocked the ball.
"For me the ball was in, but it's all fine. If Leo Messi for Cristiano Ronaldo score that goal then the world says yes because it's world class.
"He (Salah) is one of the best players in the world, that's how it is."
Salah momentarily put Liverpool in the lead with a sensational strike that had jaws on the floor with 15 minutes left on the clock.

How did you rank Mohamed Salah's strike? Comment below
After using his strength to hold of Joao Cancelo, he left Bernardo Silva for dead before dancing past Aymeric Laporte.
And his strike left Ederson with no chance after hammering one past the Brazilian into the far side of the goal to give a moment that will be replayed for years to come.
De Bruyne would spoil the party at Anfield, though, when his strike deflected off Joel Matip's thigh just five minutes later to make sure the points were shared.
It means Liverpool and City go into the international break in second and third place in the Premier League respectively with Chelsea sitting top of the pile.
