Klopp hops off Liverpool team bus to give fans bottles of beer after Palace win
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp watched his side beat Crystal Palace 3-1 on Sunday and marked the occasion by handing out free beers to supporters waiting by the team bus.
The German is never a man to celebrate an important victory quietly on the touchline and he was no different when on his way out of Selhurst Park with his players after leaving the stadium.
Klopp was spotted meeting Reds fans after the game, having hopped off the team bus with some bottles of Peroni for lucky fans who sent off their team after a battling display in south London.
The 54-year-old made time to hand out a few bottles of the Italian lager to delighted fans, who then took snaps of Klopp and their priceless memorabilia to capture the moment.
Eagle-eyed fan Amar Kanwal spotted the moment Klopp came off the bus and his footage of Klopp circulated around social media.
No one knows the exact reason why Liverpool had the beer waiting on the bus, but with a winter break coming up, it seemed like a perfect opportunity for the club to raise a glass with their loyal fans.
The Reds needed to beat Palace to capitalise on a rare slip-up from Manchester City in their 1-1 draw against Southampton on Saturday and the Merseyside outfit began in perfect fashion.
Virgil van Dijk rose high to meet Andy Robertson’s corner and power home a bullet header after just eight minutes to hand them the lead.

Liverpool controlled the majority of the first half and doubled their advantage when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain struck home from another Robertson pass, although there were questions as to whether the goal should have been ruled out by VAR for offside against Roberto Firmino.
Palace missed a host of chances to claw themselves back into the game through Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta, before Odsonne Edouard got them back into the contest in the second half.
But after Diogo Jota was adjudged to have been fouled inside the box, another divisive call from referee Kevin Friend, Fabinho stepped up to make it 3-1 and put the result beyond doubt.
The result puts Liverpool back in contention to challenge Man City for the title after Pep Guardiola’s side saw their 13-game winning streak come to an end on the South Coast.
Klopp’s men are now nine points adrift with a game in hand and can move seven clear of Chelsea in third place if they win both their games in hand that they have over the Blues.
That is despite not having Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane available, although Klopp was keen to underline the importance of goalkeeper Alisson Becker after "saving our backside".
“It was a bit Jekyll and Hyde football today. You could see how good we can be. We were incredible in the first 35 minutes,” Klopp said.
He added: “I said to him now [Alisson], thank you for saving our backside again.
"He said ‘that’s my job’. It is very helpful to have a world-class goalkeeper at the back!”
