Klopp confirms triple injury boost ahead of Liverpool’s crunch Man City clash
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that he should be able to call upon Alisson, Fabinho and Sadio Mane for Liverpool's huge game against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Reds are in desperate need of a victory in order to keep their title hopes just about alive as they sit seven points behind table-topping City.
Goalkeeper Alisson missed the 1-0 defeat to Brighton on Wednesday through illness, while defender Fabinho and forward Mane were also absent through injury.
But speaking at his press conference ahead of the weekend's game, Klopp delivered good news on the trio.
"Ali is much better, and was good enough to train an individual session," Klopp said.
"Sadio and Fabinho can train later today, we will see."
Klopp did not reveal whether or not new signings Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak could be in line for their Premier League debuts on Sunday, simply adding: "In an ideal world, you have a few weeks to work on defensive things.
"Ben and Ozan had an analysis meeting yesterday where they got shown all the stuff we do. Today and tomorrow they will have a proper session and then we will see."
Liverpool have lost their last two games in a row at Anfield and defeat to City would surely leave their hopes of defending the title in tatters.
And when asked about his side's recent woes Klopp continued: "We need to play really good football.
"It's that I say 'come on now, it's Anfield'. We love playing there but we lost the last two. We were not interested in not losing 68 in a row, so why start now?
"It's all about trying again, being positive and making Anfield a fortress again."
Things don't get any easier after City, with Liverpool's next three games a clash against high-flying Leicester, a Champions League first leg against RB Leipzig and a Merseyside derby against Everton.
