Kim Min-jae ‘contract details’ emerge as Man Utd schedule third meeting
Ten Hag coy on Man Utd's links with Neymar
Manchester United are willing to pay Napoli star Kim Min-jae a salary of around £5million to £6m a year as they look to sign the defender, it has been claimed. Erik ten Hag’s side want a new centre-back to provide competition for the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof. However, while there’s been talk of a deal being done, that doesn’t appear to be the case just yet.
Manchester United want a new centre-back this summer.
Though Martinez, Varane and Lindelof have done well this season, Harry Maguire is widely expected to leave having struggled for regular game time.
Reports from Italy have regularly talked up United’s interest in Kim, who has helped Napoli win a first Serie A title since 1990.
And journalist Alfredo Pedulla, writing on Twitter, has claimed the Red Devils are willing to pay the centre-back a salary of around £5m to £6m a year to make the move.
What’s more, United are also set to hold a third meeting as they seek to bring the 26-year-old to Old Trafford this summer.

“#Kim – #ManchesterUnited: already two meetings and strong interest, but there are still no signatures, he said.
“The signing starts from a base of 6-7 million plus bonuses.
“New summits are expected, the clause of around 60 is valid from 1 to 15 July.”
Should United pay Kim’s £50million release clause, he’d become one of the club’s costliest-ever defenders.
United previously paid £50m for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who touched down from Crystal Palace back in the summer transfer window of 2019.

And they forked out a massive £80m on landing Harry Maguire that same year, too.
Kim’s entourage were recently asked about their client potentially leaving Napoli for the Premier League this summer.
And they played down speculation by saying: “The transfer to Manchester United is not true.
“Currently, Kim Min-jae is focusing on finishing the season.
“In the case of the English Premier League, the qualification to the Champions League or the final standings have not been decided.
“There is no need to move.”
Kim isn’t the only player who could join United this summer.
They’re open to landing a fresh right-back, despite Diogo Dalot signing a new contract, with Jeremie Frimpong being strongly linked amid his fine form for Bayer Leverkusen.
Another midfielder is being targeted, too, with Mason Mount widely expected to join from Chelsea.
And United know they need a new No 9, with Harry Kane, Rasmus Hojlund and Victor Osimhen all players under consideration behind the scenes.
